Dallas mayor Tom Leppert meets with President Obama to mull over the crappy economy
The mayor of Dallas is going to talk economics with the President? This might be a good laugh. “Hey Mr. President, when your in debt up to your ears,, make the tax payers build you a hotel….”

Lupe Valdez supporters say anti-gay politics at play in Dallas sheriff's election
The diversity training was a sham. The openly gay Sheriff had diversity training for understanding gays and lesbians and trans gender. No diversity training on understand the Latino community, or others like the rest of the world. only gays. Isn't that called discrimination?

César Chávez street signs not forthcoming for Ross Ave., says Dallas Plan Commission
So here is the invitation to start yet another discussion with Bill about the changing of street names. Unless the number of other local news sites I see him at are more entertaining. So what I read this morning is that it's going to be industrial that get's it.

Hurst woman returns envelope of money after outed by surveillance video
C’mon Doyle, do you really think she would have owned up to it if the video of her stealing it wasn’t on every single news station in the city? If that is what you consider courageous then I am seriously laughing at you.

Best not to carry it into public. But she is still a thief and a liar. She was caught on camera. What was she suppose to do? I am not near as forgiving as that woman was Doyle. There is no question about it.

A thief and a lier. no matter if she returned it or not. If it wasn't for the news posting the video everywhere they could that woman would have never returned it.

Fort Worth mayor wants anti-sagging pants campaign to expand
Pavel, Do you know why that fashion originated in jail? I didn't exactly know what a Mohawk was so I looked it up. You are either a Mohican Native American. An 80's punk rocker or an Anarchist. If there is another meaning to it I am sorry, thats just what is published.
Anyway nothing degrading that I found in Mohawk as I did with saggy pants. Now do you understand why I don't get it? it's not even practical. No real purpose to having your pants around your knees. Just to say "look I am easy".

UPDATED: Flower Mound gorilla and the banana chasing him go to jail
The sheriff or arresting officers didn't want to take the boys to jail. They tried to persuade the school to not press charges but the school officials did anyway. This stunt is done all over the country. Some people in any sort of authority position just want to be rectum irritations.

UPDATED: Gray-haired Southlake vigilante on a Hummer-keying rampage
I have seen those kids that drive those high dollar cars. They are far from respectful when it comes to driving etiquette. But no matter what, I agree with Jason that vandalism was not the right approach. Although I found the story quite amusing. All I can think is shame on the parents.
Momzilla said something that I honestly believe Americans don’t quite understand. We live in a democracy. “if not enough people agree with you, oh well.. that’s how it is. Get over it.” Unfortunately we live in a spoiled society. If we loose an election or an argument or a law suite we cry and complain and raise hell till we get our way. There is never a final word. I am sorry guys I don’t mean to get off track. I can go on forever about the “American attitude”. Clay213, dont worry about the turd. Do you think they learn how to budget and finance when they get bailed out by their parents all the time??? (cough AIG) I would say never... lets let them grow up and learn the hard way. Maybe they can go to work for the DISD.

Dallas to double downtown security cameras
From what I just read... Dallas Police Department looks at data on a dynamically daily basis. So this is pointless. lets see how good it is a year from now. Sept 12 post in the Dallas Morning news says that the cameras were not even up yet and they didn't know where they were going. They also said that they are red light cameras and not public surveillance cameras. quoted from DMN "Locations for the 40 new cameras haven’t yet been determined, Assistant Public Works and Transportation Director Zaida Basora said. And it may be several months before any of them are operational, Assistant City Manager Ramon Miguez added. " does that mean that they took stats before they were put up? but giving credit to the cameras? I am confused. How many dummy cameras are they putting up? they say they did but not how many. lets see, that’s a contract for 27million dollars for the next 7 years. that’s 4.157 million a year. with lets say we use the 100 cameras that the city of Dallas is boasting about inventory. that’s $41570 per camera including installation and maintenance I would hope.. How many of those 41 thousand dollar cameras are the dummy cameras they are talking about. Taxpayers are getting a great deal on those I'll tell ya. Dallas is selling you cameras and padding it with false stats. I am impressed at Dallas Citizens. They just pay taxes and don’t question anything.
