Hell of a job Bush is doing, approving rampant spending from the Republican Congress he had through most of his presidency, waging a silly war at incredible cost to the country, driving the budget deficit and national debt ever upward. And now that there are signs of a slow down, what does he do? Spend more. Smart. Bigger deficits and debts, an even more weakened dollar (which has the effect of driving up the cost of oil and other imports), and continued denial about the fundamental unsoundness of how our government is managing its money.

Bemused,
Your comment, while provocatively simple-minded, is beside the point. Public libraries are not in the business of advancing Christian principles. Therefore, it's not for a zealous patron with a narrowly moralistic agenda and a cigarette lighter to decide what books are or aren't suitable for the public. Being a homophobe is one thing. Being a book burning homophobe is another.

Woohoo! First of all, I'd like to thank my God, Shiva. Then my mom (who came back after all these years, once she found out I scored some tickets), my agent Clyde, my sister-in-law Kris (a big Ely fan who will buy me dinner if I give her the second ticket), all the other contestants who gave it their best shot, Obama (keep Hope alive!), the troops in Iraq, and last, but not least, Pegasus News and the Bass Hall for making all of this possible.
