I have frequented Drip on a weekly basis since it's opening and have been a big supporter of the family owned business. This morning, I hosted a coffee there for a group of parents who came to hear the latest studies related to autism spectrum disorders from a local doctor. I visit Drip enough to know that they normally play the music there very low and parking is often problematic. We had a good showing of parents - about 20 people - and suddenly the music became too loud to hear the doctor's summary of information. When we asked the owner if he would please turn down the music, he refused three separate requests from parents who asked. Then he complained to us that we were not buying enough coffee or food (nearly all of us had bought a cup of coffee, at least), and that we were taking up his parking spaces and tables. There were still 15 minute spaces open at this time in front of Drip and there were at least four empty tables for patrons. On top of all of this, I have learned that Drip was the only company that, when requested by BRAINS for Autism at UT Southwestern, refused to sponsor or contribute to autism research there. The families affected by this poor customer service today have unanimously agreed to spread the word and boycott Drip. Please share this information with your readers. Thank you.
