I read the battle and I noticed Wingfields was #30. I am not sure if the public did the voting or was it the critics at the FST. How can Wingfields the #1 rated burger be #30 in a FW poll with Jakes at #2? It just does not make any sense.

I explained that I believe the next foodie city to be Denton...yes of all places. Here is an excerpt:

Right now Denton has a great bakery in Ravelin, great sushi in Keiichi, great low priced authentic Mexican food in La Mexicana, great Thai food in Andaman and who could forget Beth Marie’s on the Square for ice cream. Although it is not technically a restaurant the Union at UNT had an awesome wood burning pizza oven when I was in school and I am not sure if that is still around. They were making wood oven pizzas before the craze started in Dallas. I will also give some recognition to Kolache Haven for their renditions of the Kolache. They are the closest to Calvert and West I have found locally. Metzlers for carrying the best beer selection in such a small store and for also carrying Fischer’s and Bayer’s products both located in Muenster, TX. I am probably leaving a few out.

Denton is undergoing a rapid change in its views. I am very happy about the wind energy and the DART/DCTA Green Line both good for the environment!

Now with Big Mike's Coffee and the new The Angry Friar fish and chips bus along 35. Dallas is soon to be left in the wind (no pun intended)!
