    UPDATED: State Fair of Texas announces 2008 list of weird fried foods

    I would just like to say that I attempted to get a booth last year to compete in the Texas State Fair Fried Food Competition, and submitted Deep Fried S'mores. I was sent a letter which explained that there were more applicants than booth space and that I should try again next year. Ironically, Fried S'mores made the list this year and I still have no booth!
