They're kidding, right? THIS is what "independent theater" in Dallas is about? And how can Arsenic and Roses be an Area Premiere when it was done BY AUDACITY PRODUCTIONS at Flower Mound Performing Arts Theater (starring the brilliant Jeff Swearingen whose career I follow religiously)? It's on his resume for all to see: http://www.shane-arts.com/jeff.htm. Does "Area Premiere" mean within 10 miles or what?

Closing schools without closing the borders is just stupid. And does anyone really think all these kids out of school are going to be kept away from other people? I'm SURE all their parents will be able to stay home from work with them, especially the teenagers. I'm thinking they should close the malls instead of the schools.

As a resident of Plano who not only USES the $72,000 "green calendar" and who will actually be attending Live Green in Plano, I'd much rather have our money being spent at least trying to educate our citizens about how to protect and better utilize our planet. Definitely a better use of it than Robin Hood...

An hour and 15 minute first act? For this show???

This sounds more like a review of what Mr. Sonna wrote in his program than a review of the show.

Really? Only 17 theatres won any awards at all, and 40% of those awards were from two theatres?

Most of the folks commenting here (and on most of Peg) are too clever for their own good. Or think they are. Any time a long-time business fails, it sucks - even if it's one you don't happen to agree with.

Hey, I'm all for a solid critique, but this reviewer just seemed to be too caught up in her own vision of how she thought the play should be instead of trying to see what the director envisioned. I haven't seen it, but it sounds like a great production, despite the reviewer's "I could have done it better" attitude.

While I love Mr. Gunther's writing and think the plays sound very good, especially based on his three reviews of the trilogy, I'd like to know how each of them stand on their own.

I'd be thrilled to see Jeff in that show again, to be honest! My point was that I didn't see how it could be an area premiere since it's been done in the area.
AND I just wish that the FIT would do something a bit more cutting edge. Just a pretty blah line-up....
