Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo

I went to yesterday's matinee and also left during intermission. While the language was raw, I feel it was appropriate for the characters - young marines in the middle of a war that to some appear to be an extension of a video game. I also thought the actors did a great job in conveying the horror and confusion of war.

I appreciate Theater Three for bringing intelligent and thought-provoking theater to North Texas, and this play is no exception, but the overall story was so brutal and horrific that I couldn't stay for Act Two. I was completely against this war and have seen enough pointless violence on the nightly news, that I don't need to watch it for education or "entertainment." However I do believe that every politician and military leader in a position to send soldiers to war should be forced to watch it all the way through

Not sure what to be for Halloween yet? Peep these ideas

Best costume I saw at a party this weekend was a tall guy dressed as a cowboy with flames coming out of his hat - Big Tex on Fire! ;-)

Pegasus Favorite Five: Non-traditional tacos in Dallas

I wish the Velvet Taco would bring back their buffalo chicken taco, that was great and is definitely missed (according to the staff).

Study: Dallas is hot spot for sexual exploitation of adolescent girls

RobertB is right on. We live in a world that exploits sex and then says this is wrong. Until we get our values aligned, how can we expect underage kids to do the same?

Theatre Three presenting Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks

I agree! I also know Elly and she has been talking about what a wonderful play this is. While I am glad to see the story promoting this show, I found it stunning that there was no mention of the woman who is one half of this two-person show.
