Alan I really appreciate the opportunity to tell the world about what I'm doing. This is a movement thats much bigger than me and it's a dream come true to be able to tell my story and reach and teach cats out here. I got nothin but love TexasGigs and the staff over there because you've shown me nothin but love and support from day one. ANYTIME or ANYTHING you need from me within my means is available for the asking without any thought to it. I'll stay in touch and thanks again.

MISTA LONG CENSORED BY MP3ARTISTSONLINE.COM

DALLAS: The song “F* Sumthin’” written by Mista Long was censored Wednesday by MP3artistsonline.com after the site had received approximately 30 email complaints and threats of legal action. After holding the number 1 and 2 spots on the charts for several weeks, the owner of the site deleted the song. MP3artistsonline.com management stated, “The song is nasty and MP3artististsonline.com is a family oriented site.”

“I’m just trying to get my music heard. So if people think my music is offensive or my lyrics are explicit you have the option of clicking stop on your media player. By me being number 1 on the charts let’s me know that most listeners don’t find the song offensive. This is the same site that promotes underground rock and punk bands that use satanic symbolism for icons and logos", states Mista Long.

Blacklight management stands behind Mista Long and believes it’s one of his strongest records on his upcoming debut album “Chronicles of a Hustla”. Drew Diggs, managing partner of Blacklight says, “We stand behind Mista Long’s music and so does the First Amendment. All cutting edge artists that push the envelope are perceived to have questionable content; ask Prince. The song had a visible parental advisory warning logo beside the link, so we did the responsible thing. Mista Long is the voice of the streets, so we don’t apologize that his lyrics can’t be heard on American Idol.”

You can hear Mista Long performing the song “F* Sumthin’” live at Club 424, February 17th, in Grand Prairie or visit Myspace.com/mistalong and be the judge for yourself.

I'm feeling very blessed to be a part of this site right now because, even though I haven't gotten my spotlight moment yet here I know I will because y'all are covering what's really happening in all genre's of music here in the metroplex and we appreciate it. Stars will be made right before your eyes because of alot of this coverage and I for one will remain loyal to that. Keep "Let'n Em Hang" and doing ya thang...lol (shameless plug)
