Thanks for posting this. Here is the unfortunate update. A woman picked up the cat, took it the Fort Worth Animal Shelter on the day the cat went missing. She live nearly a block away from me and claims "black cats were killing her chickens in her backyard" (since when can you have chickens in your backyard in FW) My cat never left my driveway or neighbors yard. The woman signed paperwork it was her cat and she had owned it for three years. She had the cat put down the same day. The Fort Worth Animal Control says she will face no penalty for signing false information on a city document. This is terrible. The world lost a kind gentle soul that day. Someone can go to jail for animal abuse, but if someone steals an animal and has it put down at the City Shelter they face no penalty. There is no justice for animals. I have asked the Fort Worth City Council to look at adding a fine if someone lies on a report, right now this could happen to any pet owner and the offender can get away scott free. Thanks, Derik Lattig

Thanks for your comments. I addressed the FW council asking them to look at putting a fine in place for falsefying a city document. This has been really hard, I really miss my buddy.
