Had the Scott's plate, and as I was told it is going to be renamed. A steak filet with a shrimp scampi on the side, charro beans and the the pico-guac-onion fixins on the side. The right amount of garlic in the scampi with chards of homemade tortilla. My wife had the Pollo Desperado. Jalapeno, chicken wrapped in bacon. Mouthwatering. Not too hot but overloaded with flavor. Flan was better than homemade and the fried ice cream was awesome. Located right at one of the entrances to Providence, one of the huge housing developments on 380. Awesome patio, should be a spring and summertime hit. Food is not bargain basement buffet priced but you do get what you pay for. Good food.

Cannoli rocks and you wont find a better meatball sub anywhere. Geopunk is right on the money. I was introduced to this place by my friend Jimmy DePalma. I would have never found this treasure without him.

Great Hamburgers and Fries. The Gyros are good as well. The only place in Murphy that serves up anything with gravy that isn't limited to chicken fried whatever. This is a good restaurant. Prices are not out of line but they ain't blue plate specials either. This is the little guy who will be battling the corporate con-gloms when a new shopping center comes in across the street. You can get a beer there. Just get them to change the channel from the Soccer channel and the vibe goes up a notch.

Laurie Anderson Laurie Anderson is indescribably delicious. She's hitting McFarlin tonight with her new show, Homeland, and you can bet it will contain intellectual stimulation and pure unadulterated weirdness in equal measure. An album will follow the Homeland tour in 2009. More info
