And to think that us employees are making less than half than what we made a year ago. If RadioShack would stop yelling at the sales associates for what they did wrong when they sell 100+ in profitable merchandise perhaps we would want to sell. Taking away our commission and instead giving us checklists and paths to remember that change on a daily basis is not how you motivate your sales associates. I would rather send a customer to another store to buy a camera then sell it to them. If I don't attach $30 in accessories, a service plan to each item, ask for them to upgrade their phone, get a donation to live strong and get a $10 bounce back coupon sent to them I get yelled at. I'm not getting paid for it so why do I care? Perhaps having a real focus for the store and compensating your employees will keep your business afloat.
