Turkish restaurant Shish in Addison becomes Turkish restaurant Nazar

Nazar is like going over to a friend's house for dinner. The Turkish owner and his German wife are a delight.

Fabulous healthy food with several delicious vegetarian options! Trying to decide what dish to order is impossible. The kebap is tastier & more tender than fajitas and is the meat used to make authentic gyros. They even bake their own bread from scratch - but if you want an American style gyros just ask for the flat store bought bread.

I absolutely HATE lamb - but Bobby & his chef make it so good even somebody like me likes it.

The homous & aba ghanouj are chunky - which is cool - still tastes the same. Awesome with the home made bread oooh la la.

The baklava is really delicious too - too much syrup for me so I mop it off with a paper napkin.

Nazar is a cozy setting for Turkish & Mediterranean dishes in a friendly low key yet attractive atmosphere. More on their menu here: http://www.nazarturkishrestaurant.com/

(Friday & Saturday night they have traditional belly dancers too)
