Chef Kevin Ascolese returns from murky underground to retool menu at Urbano Paninoteca
anglicization of words, though common, is for chumps. Present yourself for who you are and be not afraid. you ethnocentric foul.

Daiquiri Dump is closing
Deep Ellum has a history long said and done. The 20's and 30's were friendly to and Blind Lemon Jefferson, Robert Johnson, & Leadbelly, to name a few familiar names. Gone, gone, gone is that day. The root of the issue is Dallas, it's direction and it's greed. STOP TEARING DOWN MY HISTORY!

Dallas traffic is the worst in the country
Yeah, but be realistic no amount of statistical analysis (i.e. math ) will quell the reality of traffic sucking. There has been construction in Dallas for as long as I can remember and yet we still cannot go. Why? Way to go 5 man crews!

Local wags speculate on where in Dallas George Bush will live
I had a feeling that one way or another I would eventually have to leave all that I have worked for because of him.

UPDATED: DART to make Live Oak lane closure on southbound 75 more permanent
how the TXDOT manual must read to call the permanent closure at Live Oak & 75 a solution:
"If people give you a lot of %^$# just do the opposite of what they want and they'll shut up. " or "To solve a problem requires creating other problems if you are to succeed in solving the first problem."

Dallas radio station KZPS going commercial-free, sortof
Being a long time forced listener of the crap that corporate radio plays over, and over again, I believe this is the greatest thing to happen to the local dial since KZPS came on the radio. How many times can you hear A side Led Zeppelin, Boston, Rush, etc. and truly be excited. Go get an ipod, and fill it up with the numerous, overplayed "corporate classic rock" that is not the only classic rock available. I'm not even a country fan anymore. Anything that got past the soundtrack for urban cowboy might as well be pop music. Good luck to Willie and the new radio station, and maybe, just maybe other corporate staions will go independent and play their "better than crap" programs.
