FYI: the stuffed poppers are a combination of shrimp and crab, which is a shame. Crab stuffed poppers are fantastic and to add a cheap shrimp filler is wrong on many levels.

Which is it :
- "family emergency in Mexico", or
- "better business opportunity"..........
Inquiring minds want to know.
Note the nuanced owners claim...."the cafe will stay open while a buyer is sought"...that isn't much of a promise, note the owner didn't say the cafe would be open until a buyer is found.

It is insane that a organization (the Arboretum) whose mission is to promote the joy of landscaped spaces; wants to destroy one of Dallas's great open spaces with temporary parking and/or a parking garage !
The corporate sponsers of the Arboreum and Botanical Gardens should be embarassed to be part of such a scheme.

The folks at Kroger are impressively smart; taking their stores in this direction.
I walked thru an Albertson's for the first time (in a long while) I was shocked at how much of the food asile space was being used to display crap ! Cans and boxes of processed crap.
For the big chains they will have to amp up their game in the fresh and local department if they plan to be around to see another decade.

Ben Ferugson is a good replacement; talk show hosts are a dime a dozen and Mark Davis over-estimated his worth.
WBAP needs to cut back on the number of commercials if they have any hope of retaining audience.

BTW; the residents should care (and not operate in some state of ignorance).....there is over $57 million of taxpayer money funneled to the project including some $16 of Obama stimulus money.
But the WRPF thinks it ok to operate in the dark when making transactions; like selling the naming rights to our park. The WRPF website is full of glitzy sketches and cool info.
But try to find out when they meet to decide on such things as selling the naming rights !

Ok Rumrunner, I've got your perspective, you are with the "i don't care" and "it's none of my business because it didn't cost me anything" crowd.....
And wasn't it Benjamin Franklin who said ....
"He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else. "...............stop making excuses for Warren, the WRP Foundation, and your own I don't care because I didn't pay for it attitude....
BTW; Benjamin Franklin was famous for flying in the face of obedience to protocol and held great disdain for government affairs conducted in privacy. Ben would be with me on this one !
