Cosmo Rouge bites the dust
I emailed the owner (from an old reservation confirmation I had in my inbox from months ago) and his assistant responded within one day. She basically said what Mitch said, that CR didn't "bite the dust" as this thread alludes to, but that it was an offer the owner just couldn't refuse. She mentioned that he has partnerships in ther concepts in North Dallas, does anyone know if these are restaurants and what the names are?
As I mentioned in an earlier post, Cosmo Rouge was our favorite restaurant. Stephen, the owner, greeted guests enthusiastically and remembered us when we returned. It was our special event place - we were last there on NYE and had an incredible experience. The food and service were, by far, the best I have ever had - this was mostly because of Matthew, our server. He seriously made our time there memorable. It was such a special place, and I will miss it desperately.

I was so sad when I heard the news about Cosmo Rouge. We stumbled upon it by accident and have had wonderful experiences ever since: the food -incredible, the service -amazing (Matthew!), and the atmosphere-so enjoyable. Their brunch was amazing too. I only wish now that I had gone more frequently. Does anyone know if the owner of Cosmo Rouge has plans to open another restaurant in Dallas or where Matthew is now???
