I ordered a calzone there today and was completely disappointed. It was NOT a calzone, it was a large bisquick looking biscuit, sliced sandwich style with minimal ricotta, mozarella and canadian bacon. To be quite frank, it was the furthest thing from a calzone and it was horrible. It was a 'sandwich' cloaked as a calzone; nice try, perhaps for some ignoramus who has no clue what a calzone is, but you can't fool a transient from New York. In my past world, New York, a calzone is made from pizza dough and folded around the ingredients, the dough is thin, just like quality pizza, and baked in an oven, not to mention there is a TON of ricotta cheese, not a spoonful smeared on a peice of bread like Carmines. Fool me once, shame on your, fool me twice shame on me...well, I'm not going back, so shame on you Carmines for having no clue how to make or present a calzone.
If you like pizza and calzones or if you know what good Italian food is, this place is to avoid; if you like crap cloaked as pizza and calzones, then this place is for you; this was the worst so called Italian pizza joint I have ever been to...a disgrace to an Italian name.
I tell you, if there are two items completely VOID in the entire state of Texas, it's quality pizza and bread. Where can one find quality rolls, like soft/medium and hard in Texas? Where can one find BRICK oven pizza? I.E. the places that make real pizza, thin crust style, with PUFFY crust, i.e. air pockets....do any REAL Italians live in Texas?

One last thing, below is the definition for a calzone:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calzone
Carmines needs to change their calzone to a sandwich, calling it a calzone is FALSE advertising, what they make is a sandwich.
