does anyone think much of the personal plight of legal and real documented workers? just the question of illegal workers seems to undermine and de-value what true and legal immigrants have to face.

Once, at about 10 at night. I was randomly stopped after coming back from rugby practice. My windows were tinted and there were no street lights. DUring the stop the officer noticed by window tags were expired. he later said that was the reason for the stop. however, it is not possible that from his view, in the night, he could have made that stop based on the citatation. it was random and that happens. in high crime neighborhoods, where we practiced rubgy, it happens more often, and rightfully so.
besides this, there is no such thing as unfair treatment to illegal immigrants if they get arrested sans violence. it's not you, it's the neighborhood, and cops are just "looking out".

It is contradictory to say that one person supported this bill then recognize that it passed by a majority. You cannot say it does not 'reflect the majority of the city' when majority of the city representatives voted for it. It does not say anything either to admit there was 'a room full of opposition' when, generally speaking, people hardly show up in support of anything. It is much easier to be motivated when one does not agree. That's how we get t.v. Moreover, more email was sent in support of the bill than in opposition to it. It seems Ms. Bell is not in touch with her neighbors. And after only four years, she hasn't quite laid down the roots the majority of her community has thus far. It may be that Oak Point is just not for her.

I have a close friend of mine, who travelled from India to America without his family more than 15 years ago. He lived here, legally, sans family for more than 8 years. In 2002 I witnessed him embrace his family for the first time on American soil. It was a beautiful moment.
By your support of illegal immigration and your support of criminal activity, you deny this person the virtues of: due diligence, abiding the rule of law, and patience. These words cannot be minced nor denied. They Are.
You must renounce illegal immigration in the same way Muslims must renounce violence. It is the only way to save the hispanic countries from co-dependence, and later, from dire poverty when the situation does not improve.

Dear Dr. Schwartz:
Being a doctor, I did not realize you had such an angry disposition and such hatred (e.g. slur words) toward other white persons. Nevermind for a minute that I am American Indian (that's Native American to you), I am completely offended that you would take to the same measures, and beyond, to seize the peace in this forum and anger the uneducated mobs toward violence with such inflamatory language. You said (of white people), "What a stupid bunch of uptight white fundamentalist bigots. Who will do your lawns now you bunch of rubes?"
Your language also contradicts itself. You criticize whites for bigotry, and then, even in the same breath, you reduce and restrict hispanics to "lawn cutters" as though they could get no better job. I'm sure that Ms. Villafranca, the woman of concern in this article, is not going to be your friend after calling her a name like that.
While you verbally attempt to deny that you are such a bigot, the venom appears to be already in your brain, as exemplified by your own hate and anger and language.
You'll have to "Do better". Because in my mind, you're all illegal immigrants.
