DART won't be raising rates -- for now
Dallas needs to continue to improve its public transit network and is (DART Green Line) but it also seems to be doing just fine with corporate relocations: (AT&T, Comerica, American International Group and TM Advertising...etc.)

D-FW experts of all kinds recruited for upcoming Expelled panel
It never ceases to amaze me that in 2008 we can still have people clinging to primitive beliefs dating back thousands of years. But,when they seek to use those beliefs to slow the progress of scientific discovery, and to substitute fairy tales for valid scientific education, then we should all stand up and say enough is enough!

Dallas to launch anti-panhandling campaign
Omigosh, "hundreds of thousand of dollars to panhandlers"??? What are these people thinking? Perhaps we should issue tickets to those who hand out the money.

Downtown Dallas will have New Year's parade on December 31
There is no need to change the name of the downtown Cotton Bowl Parade just because the football game is actually played in a nearby suburb to the west rather than at Fair Park to the east.

Southern Dallas needs to replace Southern Sector
Whenever I try to tell someone I live in Mountain Creek their eyes usually glaze over. Then I say "Far Southwest Dallas". Even that doesn't seem to help much.

Dallas pastor touting alternatives for dealing with homeless people
Truer words have never been spoken, Neff. Well said! Hopefully, better times are coming.

I know, we should take up a collection.

Number shuffling reduces Dallas crime rate by 3 percent
Why does every article have to say "most crime-ridden major city in America..."? Does everyone have an ax to grind against Dallas?
Are we to believe a city has to count 1 million residents in order to be considered major? I guess so, if the writer's real purpose is not a fair comparison but just to make Dallas look bad.
Bulletin for people in Atlanta, Detroit, Boston, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Seattle, etc. You don't live in a major city.

Huge development planned for 400 more acres in Frisco
My one reason for going to Frisco remains IKEA. (If I ever develop a taste for soccer I'll have two reasons.)

Dallas mayoral interviews: Your questions for Tom Leppert
Question for Tom Leppert: Right or wrong, the loss of the Dallas Cowboys stadium to the suburbs reinforces the prevailing perception that Dallas can't get anything done. What do you think the city should do to begin the process of reversing that opinion?

UPDATED: Does porn count as economic development for Dallas?
Much ado about nothing. This business serves a demand in the community. If they follow the rules, they have a every right to run their business at that location.
Besides, now I won't have to drive all the way to Mockingbird Lane to buy porn.

Dallas mayor’s church of choice causing flap in LGBT circles
Or a mayor who, at the very least, doesn't attend an organization that perpetuates misunderstanding and generalized hate towards LGBT people
