It never ceases to amaze me that in 2008 we can still have people clinging to primitive beliefs dating back thousands of years. But,when they seek to use those beliefs to slow the progress of scientific discovery, and to substitute fairy tales for valid scientific education, then we should all stand up and say enough is enough!

Omigosh, "hundreds of thousand of dollars to panhandlers"??? What are these people thinking? Perhaps we should issue tickets to those who hand out the money.

There is no need to change the name of the downtown Cotton Bowl Parade just because the football game is actually played in a nearby suburb to the west rather than at Fair Park to the east.
On Downtown Dallas will have New Year's parade on December 31

Whenever I try to tell someone I live in Mountain Creek their eyes usually glaze over. Then I say "Far Southwest Dallas". Even that doesn't seem to help much.

Why does every article have to say "most crime-ridden major city in America..."? Does everyone have an ax to grind against Dallas?
Are we to believe a city has to count 1 million residents in order to be considered major? I guess so, if the writer's real purpose is not a fair comparison but just to make Dallas look bad.
Bulletin for people in Atlanta, Detroit, Boston, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Seattle, etc. You don't live in a major city.

Dallas needs to continue to improve its public transit network and is (DART Green Line) but it also seems to be doing just fine with corporate relocations: (AT&T, Comerica, American International Group and TM Advertising...etc.)
On DART won't be raising rates -- for now
