    This kid lines up in the blind spot of the umpire. At the snap, he runs straight at the official and launches into him. Everyone on that field is wearing pads and protective gear EXCEPT for the officials. This is ASSAULT and should be dealt with criminally.

    While appropriate that the school has already taken action against the athlete, and the UIL is investigating the incident, this type of premeditated act deserves criminal punishment and an example made of this type of dangerous behavior. It should also be a lesson that rules and laws apply to everyone, even to nationally ranked team members.
