Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge Celebration Party

Trinity River Trust Park Cities ladies probably don't find a problem with the ticket price...I sincerely doubt there will be many folks from West Dallas on the bridge this evening sipping wine, eating canapes and dancing a jig to "The Front Porch Song"...

Gloria's in Oak Cliff runs afoul of residents, neighboring businesses

Actually no...the more voices and perspectives the better..even if some of them come from some rather undesirable bloggers that have a penchant for high douchery.

It is not in Pork Pie's nature to actually give a crap about the drivel he posts...he's like the blogger who lets his barking dog dump all over the Internet and assumes that someone else will clean it up..

Park over Woodall Rodgers is officially named Klyde Warren Park

I guess we're supposed to be happy that this millionaire shelled out all that money for the park...however classless the end result is. This is horrid and terribly disconnected except in one way..$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

UPDATEDx2: Art in action: Shepard Fairey finishes Dallas murals

One assumes the DAC is paying and the art community has been engaged in this discussion about local artists doing the murals, which is supposed to be a part of the bridge grand opening. Most of the discussions get dismissed as people just being haters or jealous of Fairey and locals get a pat on the head.."just work harder..some day you will be recognized by the Dallas art elite.." If his work opens up opportunities for local muralists fine. If there aren't any done by locals near the bridge between now and the festivities, then we'll know it is just business as usual for Dallas. We seem to love imported "culture" more than we do local talent. Time will tell, but I'm not holding my breath.

Walmart going into Whole Foods on Greenville Ave makes one grocery too many

This wasn't predatory behavior from Walmart..it was all the meddling of pork pie, his cronies and the City Council gutting Lower Greenville. One is quite sure that the property owner would have preferred a bowling alley there, but the NIMBY tards put a stop to that as well..all the neighborhood associations have reaped what they have sewn..enjoy!

The cane sugar Dr. Pepper is still made in Temple, which has been the case for "Dublin Dr. Pepper" for quite some time now..

149 small breed dogs rescued from puppy mill in Denton County

I have never seen a bunch of freaks get so bent out of shape about what is essentially the passing along of information. Which part of "Teresa Gubbins did not write this" do you not get?

She's a lot nicer than I am...I would have told you to shove your whiny arguments over semantics and your dislike of HSNT where the sun doesn't shine. In fact, I think I just did.

Does it really matter what you call them? Animals that are forced to live in squalor and substandard conditions suffer just some scum bag can make money. It is horrible and inexcusable..

Dallas Citizens Council video omits non-white leaders

Not sure why this would surprise anyone..Dallas Citizens Council has always been run by and benefited old white guys. I would stay as far away from them as possible, much less be in one of their videos..You know all those highways out there that separate our city? Yeah those that separate whitey from the Hispanics and other "people of color"...well they're named for most of the old farts that have run the DCC....There's your sign!

Dallas County Community College District responds to billboard

Does TAB provide some kind of incentive to hire our grads? If so, I never heard of it. Why aren't these guys knocking down our doors to hire IT interns and snatching up our grads? And let's talk a moment about what is and isn't fair to students....Non-traditional students do as they please..some people enroll in the same classes over and over again, just so they have access to the school facilities...some just use community college as a springboard before moving on to another college..

One thing you do notice is that hard financial times force some to drop classes and find any kind of work they can, while it also drives up our enrollment because people intend to re-purpose their careers. Students don't always attend community college to for the same reasons, which TAB clearly does not get..

Maybe the TAB wants DCCCD to just crank out useless employees with fake degrees..Not going to happen.
