You notice that the restaurant chains Larry Lavine has started that succeeded are all touted, but none on the would-be chains that failed? By my guesstimate, he's probably batting 50-50, pretty good in the restaurant biz.

How cool. Scene named itself after the old DMN Sunday magazine. I used to work on that rag and still have some business cards and personalized Scene stationery. Do you think they will get me a good table?

tg: at the heart of this item is restaurants refusal to pay a living wage to servers and other employees. heck, half of our businesses today refuse to pay a living wage. down to bosses and owners and other greedy pigs.
