Even though that is way out in that part of the old Dallas, it is an amazing place to come to, as far a funk is concerned with the South Lamar street thing...
And nestled in an old W.P.A building from the 1930's...7 years ago this kind of thing could not of happend, and I like the food too, the Chef is Lee Harvey ok..while the adventure's,like going to the middle east and hidding at some retreat....A/T,.. Out in the wilds of Old South Dallas,... adventure is fun..while watch what you do...

Goff's Hamburgers
Gosh ,I used to love going there, great burgers, but Harvey would scare everyone to death when he would pull out his 45,pistol, now the Bushes will head on over and everyone will be safe..Harvey sold out 3 years ago, still great burgers, but... lots of drama...A/T, Great bullet proff hamburgers.

A landmark place to eat at for over 60 years, once located on Cedar Springs and opened around the mid 1940s, the late Cheif Patry started out here and later opened up a 5 Star Restaurant on Mckinney Ave, while he would continue to promote his old haunt,.... Today, The Old Warsaw is a treasure to be realized in old Dallas dinning...save your money folks, and try one evening of the finest on Maple..A/T,..Food observer.

I like their hot sauce, and a nice place to look out at Pegasus Plaza and observe time and space downtown, located in the old 1880's section of Dallas, then again..watch parking, walk if you can and enjoy the view inside the City...A/T,... Urban observer...

Excellent place and vibes if your in the mood to become another person on a diffrent plane, while dont take any meat or flesh made items over there, made a mistake and gave them shoes from africa made of elephant skins, some decades back, what a rejection that was, while I love their food....great place...A/T..

Great place and has been the first of the many places to eat at called Gloria's, I recall the owner, who was working 7 days a week,in the 1980s, great hot sauce and the rest is history for fine exotic eating...keep up the good work...A/T, Bishop Arts observer.

This haunt has been around a long time, and some say it dates back to the 1930s, which is pretty good living for a Dallas Cafe, I was there last week, enjoyed the Southern food and waitress who was quite a doll, Herb Keller from Southwest Airlines is seen in a both from time to time and it is the Great grand daughter of the first Mecca Cafe located on Elm street in the late 1890s of Dallas...A/T, ..A Good place to eat near the old town of Letot.

Here is an great recovery act after having been in the Bishop Arts and doing real well, then the locals wanted the noise out and so the Jazz Club came to this place and has done better,
Well, I have been to the area and stepped in one night after a early vist at Lee Harvey's and I was impressed, problem with Lamar street,you never know what will hit you the silence or the sudden advent of events...good luck guys..A/T Jaxzz observer.

Now this is one place, I will not go back to again ,unless I was on the Bonnie and Clyde tour, I felt robbed, while the beans were good... the meat was ....oh well fat and greasey, then again the vibes, kind of like an East Texas speakeasy with steel workers in the background, while this was a place to stop when I would hit the Salvation Good Will place and buy great...my secret..ok you on your own when you hit this joint, until then...A/T. DC AND TRAVIS are going to my old and sometimes haunts that have an awe of mystery, realism and flair kind of like a Picasso painting in the middle of a freeway surrounded by art lovers stopping traffic, this used to be several other hole in the wall good old boy places to eat, while it is again, like Wimpies, a treasure, until then..A/T, Slow food eater.

Now that was car culture for old West Dallas, and like the Travis said, he knows where that place was, and so do I, and believe it or now I was there some 2 months ago, having to go over to an area that was exspaning the roadwork,I miss the old neon sign, while they make a great funky soulful classic hamburger and fries, if I am going to die on junk food this is the place to go and get feed one last time, until then ..A/T..Food observer for West Dallas.

You cant put this place down,they have been around a long time, and yet they have great service, food is always on que with good vibes, and the old building used to be a Bowling Alley, back in the late 1940's, so that may have some good vibes added.....while on Bishop and 7th street, you have what they say is a little bit of the Cliff, until then A/T. One of the many place's to eat on Ross and by all mean's pull a West End retreat to this unique hideout for lunch.....I have been going by and went in a couple of time's to know and say it is a West End landmark now, until then a freind of the old Profrock that opened the Y.O.........A/T.

Now this is where Cesar Chavez would of taken the homeboy's, but back in 1972, this was considered the Rebel flag of joint's on Industiral, and still is run by some intresting Greek's,... I was told, oh well, my cousin's favorite hideout, and as it was his Dad's, Sonny from Lancaster, he spent a million dollars there in 30 years, while Ole Fritz Von Eric came on by and did the Iron Claw on oranges one night, oh well again and the last time...the Hickoryhouse on Indutsrial...A.T... Sill nursing Pepto Bismo.

Mooyah Burgers & Fries (Closed)
I Had hoped that like the old shop that had left, the Tin Star.. it would do more then good, while I felt it was exspensive after I stopped off at Starbucks to get my noon java and meet the new crew in town, I was really taken with the thought and what has also been said...to bright and to, what that word..out of place for the area, the Tin Star was really much better, until then A.T.. empty stomach eater.
