Tooth N' Nail was replaced on the bill by Black & Blue (Rolling Stones Tribute). Tooth N' Nail is playing House of Blues - Cambridge Room tonight.

I actually find the opposite experience as bigtexastommyt. In general, adults (over the age of 30) buy CD's while persons in their teens and twenties are more into paid or free downloads.
However, teens are paying money to go to these concerts of which a portion of the ticket price is going to pay the bands. So the teens are directly supporting the local music scene by attending the concerts, not to mention merchandise sales.
There have been commercial successes to come out the Plano teen scene, including Universal Records artists Forever the Sickest Kids. I won't argue over critical or artistic successes though as those are a matter of personal taste.

Guns 4 Roses, the Ultimate Guns N' Roses Tribute Experience, will be at House of Blues tonight (Thursday, July 9th) with the Hair Ballad All-stars.
Guns 4 Roses features former members of Child O' Mine and Metal Shop.

Great show last night! I enjoyed all the bands, of which I had not seen or heard any of them prior to the show. A.M. Ramblers were my personal fav.
Wish the Peg News staffers would have taken turns introducing themselves and the bands so we could put real faces with the names and pixels.

Due to the scheduled play-off game for the Texas Brahmas Hockey Club, the Dallas Derby Devils bout has been changed to BYOB (no glass). Sounds like a win-win-win situation to me.

This is a charity benefit show. All proceeds from the $10 cover charge go to the American Cancer Society. 17 and up welcome, under 17 permitted with parent or guardian.

Was the 106.1 KISS Party local band contest rigged?
Well there's three simple truths in life:
You don't dump your girlfriend till you have your next one picked out.
You don't ask a question for which you don't know the answer.
and you don't throw a contest without knowing the winner up front.
1000 Miles From Home for one isn't terribly upset by the loss. We increased our web traffic by 3x last week, got lots of great feedback on our video, and maintained our indie cred by getting pushed around by corporate music.
If Avril still wants to have a photo op with us though, we'll be happy to oblige.
