Your turn to ask the questions

I would like to know how Chow divides his time between his restaurant and the Mayor's office.

Also, looking at his campaign contributions, based on surnames it looks like most of Chow's support comes from the Asian community. No problem with that but it looks like most of the addresses are outside of Addison. What's up with that? How does that effect his regime?

Cyclist killed in Grapevine after collision with Ford Focus

I take your point. But I thought it was ridiculous to include the model of car in the headline.

I'm tired of everyone giving Ford Foci a bad name. They're no better or worse than any other breed of car.

Sensationalistic headlines like yours lead to the unneccessary and unfair destruction of thousands of cars every year. I thought better of Pegasus News than to get sucked into the anti Ford Focus lobby.

Have you seen the video where the football dude makes the Foci fight? It is tragic.

CAIR-DFW seeking interns to monitor media coverage

I'm glad to see y'all posting this, despite CAIR's bad reputation. Reinforces that you have room for all local views and the balls to practice what you preach.

I hope this will get the local Antidefamation league to send you stuff instead of outcrying for this to stop.

Now what you should do is send someone undercover to take the internships.

News about Pegasus News: Domesticated but not fixed

Congratulations Peg peeps. I'm a little worried about you losing your edge, but if anyone can keep it up you can.

Interesting connections here. Fisher has TV stations in Portland and Seattle. So does Belo.

Fisher CEO Colleen Brown used to work at Belo. I wonder what the Belo executives think of this?

    Classic.

Was Gary Griffith not invited to perform?

    Of comments and community

This is what we need less of: "Today, our country is in the throes of a NeoChristian insurgency."

Lots of places the tin hat crew can congregate. Unless the NeoChristian insurgency is marching on DFW, it doesn't belong here.

    Of comments and community

I do think Pegasus is making a potential mistake in its handling of comments, but not by shutting down the idiots. I say you give them too much room, like you're bending over so far trying to be fair that you're biting your own ass.

One of the best things about this site is that you allow comment conversation and you trust users to post immediately. No other site does that. Most don't have comments at all.

That is because they throw the baby out with the bathwater running from these idiots.

You allow people to yell about evil Christians, bad Jews, horrible right wingers, stinking liberals, shiftless blacks, or racist whites at all and they start thinking it is their right.

As a news guy, I appreciate the amount of work you must put in to this site. That means it is your right to tell people where to get off.

Stop apologizing for smacking down the trolls. Start doing it sooner. I'm tired of the racist guy and the anti-christian guy already. I don't really care whether they agree with me or not. I'm just tired of being annoyed.

You need to decide if you are running a message board or a local news community. I think it is local news and I hope it is. If it is, throw out the trolls.

I hope you really are a judge, John. You're without a doubt the top movie critic in this town. Now you just need to get more people here reading you.

Tom Leppert supporters denounce party politics being brought into mayor's race

Sanders: "I vote with my intellect"

    No, you don't vote: http://www.pegasusnews.com/r/129/9455/

(And don't blame the press for the fact that you can't or don't read.)

Much easier to make wildly uninformed arguments than to actually know something and do something.

And outside of judicial elections, party really means very little on the local level. Unless you're a blowhard who can't manage arguments that go beyond black/white and the same rote crap over and over and over and over and...

    Rusty Wallis Volkswagen

As car dealers go, these guys aren't too bad. You always get a better deal going through their Internet sales.

Service department is nice, but generally clueless and disorganized. But the work is good.

Only thing to watch out for is the Rusty Wallace body shop. They are used to working on insurance, and so their prices are jacked. If you are paying yourself, better get Maaco!

University of Dallas changes name of its religious graduate program

\"Having actually taken classes at both places I can say that University of Dallas is not to be confused with some sort of \"religious zealot\" (to use Mr Kaufman\'s phrase) bible college.\"

Then why is it that as late as the late ninties, a single friend of mine who was a student there had to take a leave of absence to hide her pregnancy. She had the baby and it was adopted, mind you. She wasn\'t even having an abortion or anything like that. But she said that she would have been expelled from the school if anyone had learned she was pregnant.

Real rational policy. That reads of zealotry to me, and a rather un-Christian attitude.

FC Dallas, Clay Aiken, & fireworks highlight Frisco Freedom Fest

Pegasus people, don't waste your time on these idiots. I've written about Clay Aiken for other publications before, and no matter what you say, you will be innundated with hate mail from these lifeless losers. They don't understand that this was the least important thing you will post on your site today and that these funny captions that don't pick on anyone more than anyone else are a big reason we all read here instead of the Dallas Morning Snooze or the Startlegram. Both of whom wrote nothing about Clay Aiken today.

I actually like Aiken's music, but my concert review was not fawning enough, so I got letters, emails and even one call at home.

I've never seen such an immature group of lifeless morons. And I've seen a lot. Aiken would have been better off if he didn't come up through the Idol machine that breeds this sort of crap.

Ask Dallas mayoral candidate Ed Oakley a question

    1. Once and for all, what is the straight story on the Trinity corridor? It is such a controversial issue, yet it looks like the center piece of your campaign.

    2. Despite your credentials, do you think that Dallas is really ready to elect an openly gay mayor?

    3. Some have said that you waffled greatly on the New Fine Arts store in South Dallas. Can you justify your position? http://dallasprogress.blogspot.com/20...

    A Careless Whisper

I have a suggestion for the Pegasus News gang: Based on some of the comments I see around here, you need to add some questions to the registration process.

One should validate that the reader has a basic understanding of the term satire.

The other should be some type of sense of humor test. I don't know. Maybe that one could be cheated.

THINK interviews Bob Mong of the Dallas Morning News and Michael Cain of AFI Dallas

Mong is full of it and everyone who ever worked there knows it.

Of course, a Belo executive WOULD brag about thinking of hiring consultants to solve the city's problems. That's worked out so well for Belo. (Q: How many McKinsey consultants does it take to screw up a newspaper? A: How many can you afford?)

A better interview would have been...with anyone else.

    When I wasn't asleep, I was angry.
