Call Michael or Chelsea at Absolute. I cannot answer for them but I am sure they will work with you. They are great people. I would encourage all musicians who are in need of a place to rehearse to talk to Absolute. They are building a music mecca over there and their facilities are awesome and will even include a couple of venues on the second level of where the studios are. Really visionary and should do wonders for the Dallas Music Community. They get it.

The proof is in the playlist, the commerical load and the on air personalities. I hope the on air presentation is not as "heritage" as Bo and Jim on Lonestar. Clear Channel is still betting that Lonestar 92.5 is going to take off but according to Arbitron they have handed the reigns and the numbers to 93.3 The Bone. Recuredo 97.1 is gone in a market that has become over saturated with spanish speaking stations that offer a limited music mix to their listeners. Clear Channel seems to be visionary in their thinking for DFW Radio by bringing back something that never should have left, tweaking something that needed it (KZPS) albeit their morning show needs to go, but my only question is how does Mix 102.9 still exist. Clear Channel is losing its Evil Empire image....congrats.

Gregg Williams. The Ticket. The Hardline. Now a website. http://www.wheresgreggo.com Check it out. I personally am a fan, and if what Ritchie Whitt is reporting is true, it would have to have been leaked by an insider to the situation. Station management is not commenting at all on Gregg's situation. And they shouldn't. If what Ritchie Whitt is reporting is true then let Gregg do what Gregg needs to do. If he does or doesn't return is not what's important. What matters is that Gregg takes care of what he needs to take care of. If he does not make a return, The Ticket and the Hardline will survive and maybe yes maybe improve. They will make adjustments to "The Presentation" and go forth. Mike Ryhner will continue to gracefully pontificate, Corby will tell a stories the way he does, and Danny will be in the on deck circle. The Hardline is what it is, does what it does with or without all. Some say the show will crumble if Gregg does not return. I think that it is what it is and will go on just as it has since last month. Good luck and Godspeed Greggo, take care of you because you're all that you have. The Ticket is a station that is one of a kind. It has been tried to be replicated in markets such as San Francisco, Atlanta, even down the road in Austin Texas (the worst attempt of all by a bunch of wannabies who really didn't have a clue) but you can not replicate what this station is. The Ticket is a tupperware party for guys where ladies listen in to hear what guys are talking about. It's a bunch of guys who hangout by the back fence with a cooler full of beer. God Bless Hank Hill. Its a neat deal. It's been said by one of the hosts..."We can do what they do, but they can't do what we do", this in reference to the on air content that makes The Ticket what it is. Carry on and may your content commensurate.

Keep in mind that Clear Channel has been selling off most of their properties to different buyers. That means that the ones they have left will be headed up by sales driven managers that only think that they are program directors and have determined that they know what people want. What will be happening in Dallas Fort Worth Next year is the Arbitron People Meter which actually tells sources what you listen to by picking up a coded signal from a radio station. The results in rankings will astonish you. More information can be found out about the People Meter at http://www.arbitron.com Radio stations are missing the boat. As we morph into the IPOD age and alternative music sources, radio stations need to get more local, more local time for local acts, more events that feature local acts and constantly create events that bolster the local music scene. Drop the corporate cookie cutter program director and give each market local control of what is put out on the signal. Go back to basics and do what put radio where it is. Be local. You will never hear a local band on XM or Sirius. Local radio is free, however not local enough. Encourage your favorite radio station to be...local.

I am happy for Tony Romo. He is a persanable guy who has been patient and has worked for the position. He had alot of people in front of him who had the job that were horrible. He knew what he had to do to get the job, even when there was no contract that was pending he took the team to 6-1. That is the work of a professional, not a thug. Congrats Tony, you're a helluva guy and this team needs someone that they can hang their hat on and you're it. Enjoy the money, enjoy the notoriety but most of all please don't stop shaking hands and saying hello to the fans. They love you. Good job.

DFW being a transient community, its great to have a one stop shop to pick up stations all over the country to get a flavor of where we come from and it takes us home. More great technology, all listed. Took me 20 seconds to set up the account and well worth it. I just finished listening to WCCO in my home town of Minneapolis/St. Paul. It's also nice to patronize another web based business from Dallas Fort Worth. We are in a technology rich area. Kudos to Pegasus News.

Laurie Anderson Laurie Anderson is indescribably delicious. She's hitting McFarlin tonight with her new show, Homeland, and you can bet it will contain intellectual stimulation and pure unadulterated weirdness in equal measure. An album will follow the Homeland tour in 2009. More info
