Dallas plans to create first fully sustainable, urban square block in the U.S.
As a side note, it is urban myth that to build Green you have to be wealthy.

This project is why I remain a supporter of Mayor Leppert. He definelty has the visionary thing working. I just don't get why is so hell bent on a taxpayer funded convention center hotel.
The list of people behind the Revision project is very impressive. This project, if not de-railed, is a very big deal for downtown Dallas.

your right Alex.....
I don't think Buy Fieri will be impressed with TRB. I bet the taping doesn't get air time.
There is nothing extraordinary about TRB...at least not compared to the other places represented in DDD segments.

Is anything served at TRB fresh?
I doubt that they grind their own burger meat.
They probably don't fresh cut the fries. They certainly don't double cook them.

If he is one of it's creators then I hope he discloses that fact on the show.
They make a good hamburger. But everything else there sucks. Their french fries are horrible. Thier onion rings mediocre.
The place is over rated.

I watch DDD religously. Twisted RBC is not up to the standards of most all other restaurants featured on DDD. My bet is that once Jason Boso visits this place and sees it is no big deal, the show won't air.

Defendants in Holy Land Muslim charity trial in Dallas found guilty on all counts
"IF at first you don't succeed, try again."
Is that an attempt at humor?
What is the purpose of injecting this into what should be a straight news story?

Did you call employees of Chesapeake stooges?
Will you use the same derogation when describing the teaming masses that show up for Obama's coronation?

One, most favored, regulation change would be to make "opening day" a state-wide holiday.

How many, if any, of these actors are illegals?

Dallas DA needs to develop thicker skin
I didn't vote for Watkins but I am very impressed with the results of his Conviction Integrity Unit. The attacks on him(by other prosecutors) is unfortunate and will not benefit his opponets in the next election.
According to a recent Wall Street Journal report, Watkins' conviction rate during his tenure has been as good as previous DAs.

Dallas ISD used fake IDs after they were told to stop, says report
"In what shapes up to be an example of administrative laziness that resulted in malfeasance, an internal Dallas Independent School District report found that employees in human resources were issuing fake Social Security numbers to new hires as a means of getting them on the payroll quickly."
Was that lifted from the DISD web site's explainaiton of the events?
A more accurate reporting would describe it as illegal activity, not "laziness"
And the use of the term "inappropriaely" to describe using stolen and fraudulent SS #s is laughable. How about criminal?
Are you guys trying to be PC here?

Your labeling as Xenophobic, people who beleive in enforcing our immigraion laws is dispicable.
The ACLU, and Mexican American Defense League are bigots and favor the rights of illegals over working American citizens.
Illegal immigration only hurts the working class in America. Your pro illegal immigration stance is anti-working class and anti-American.

Dallas bakery Doughmonkey to close
Unforntunately, the people who did the daily toil are the most affected by the closing. The finaincal partners behind the venture will write the loss off on their 2008-2009 tax return, and move on to the next deal, hence the term, doughmonkey!

Totally replaceable. Obviously the owners had zero committment to their "passion" or business. Instead of thinking $$$ and opening their shop in the high rent district of Snider Plaza, they should have been more modest and located in a low-rent district and turned out a great product. It's the old "build it and they will come" philosphy of business. Instead these guys went for the big bucks and fell flat on their arsses.
You gotta admire the hard working doughnut shop owner who gets up early every day just to sell a couple of dozen of fresh made ringers - not making the big bucks, but turning out somthing people enjoy. Good riddence to a company whose buisness plan was short sighted and was thinking "up-scale franchise bonzanza" instead of focusing on just making a good product.

How much more hype can one place get?
I have seen reviews of this place all over the dallas food blogs. Can't we get some more original stuff reviewed?
And what is it with Donna Cooks. Her web site is more like Donna Doesn't Cook, but travels, eats out, and talks about other peoples cooking.
