Dallas photographer Andy Hanson died
RIP, Andy. I met him just twice - at the Hall of State and then again at Kalachandji's - and found him to be extraordinarily humble, knowledgeable and charming. Dallas was privileged to have such a talent as a citizen, he will be much missed.

Sitting Pretty
I have seen Lauren many times in various venues around the Metroplex. In my experience, she has always made a point of heaping praise and gratitude on her accompanying musicians (whom she usually "hires" from UNT in Denton, I believe).
Try to get to one of Lauen's gigs ASAP before her record company sweeps her off to a bigger stage in a more discerning city than Dallas - she is destined for the top of her profession IMHO.
