Grill on the Alley at Galleria Dallas introduces gluten-free menu for lunch and dinner
So pretty much the menu is either animals or plants. Not bread or pasta. Ugh. I would die if I had to live without bread or pasta.

Papou’s Greek Kitchen and Taverna in Lakewood no longer open
This is very unfortunate as the food at Papou’s was really, really good. Their spanakopita and taramosalata (caviar dip) were hands down the best in town. However, I should add that St. Pete’s Dancing Marlin is another city gem that I don’t frequent as much as I should. The food is delish.

Burlesque Nocturne
May I add a bit of shameless self promotion?
Come and see the Burlesque Nocturne show at the Lakewood, Friday Oct 23 at 9:30 pm.
However, if you are offended by scantily clad women, then maybe not...

"showing all the world just how much class money can buy."
Sorry, but this just proves that money cannot buy class....

Don't take your shiny new iPod Nano to Life Time Fitness -- The chain has banned them, fearing illicit lockerroom video
Why just the iPod? Why not every phone or gadget that has camera/video?

Do these deep fried delectables come with a free side of angioplasty too?

Nightclub and restaurant to open in downtown Dallas Crowne Plaza Hotel in September
Although I do believe it would be great to bring traffic to that area, it would be nice if they thought of something different besides another nightclub. A jazz lounge/club, perhaps?

Ohhhhh, watermelon tini sounds really good for a hot summer day. I may have to give it a try.

Sippin' on sangria in Dallas-Fort Worth
I am with Scott on this, Fireside Pies has the best, in my opinion. I also used to love the sangria at Samba Room. I am not a fan of Cafe Madrid's sangria because it's too tart.
Well, my solution is, Real Sangria that you can buy for under 10 bucks and any grocery store. Pour in pitcher with sliced lemons and oranges and enjoy on your patio/porch.

If you are vegan, why try to fake with fake meat? I don't get it, sorry.

Fort Worth-based American Airlines raises price on checked bags by $5
Does anyone remember when flying was actually fun and exciting? I remember flying memories from back in the 80’s and early 90’s. Now, it’s just a pain in the arse.

NTTA posts "wrong way" signs on Tollway
Really? Really? How long has the tollway been in existence that you don't realize which direction it goes? It's not like the switch sides of the road every other day.
"Oh gee, driving this direction sucks, let's flip sides!"

Man killed in drive-by shooting in downtown Dallas
Aside from the Wurst Wagon, am I the only one that sees something wrong with this story? A 10 year old vendor? Typo, perhaps?

Lesbian/gay church condemns Fort Worth Police raid on newly opened Rainbow Lounge early Sunday
Public intoxication is the most BS charge in the book. Especially when it’s in a bar; a place of alcohol consumption. Duh.

North Texas Tollway Authority cracking down on non-paying drivers
I liked it when they had the toll booths. That way you can pay your 75 cents or a dollar. Now, you don't have that choice. It's either the tolltag or an invoice of the toll plus a $25 "admin fee".

So they took out the toll booths completely? It's almost like a trap.
This is one of the reasons why I HATE the NTTA.

Here we go again: Dallas considering renaming Young Street for Cesar Chavez
I took the “task force” from the nbcdfw.com article. I didn’t realize there was a “preferred” name. Perhaps you should inform them too.

Here we go again: Dallas considering renaming Young Street for Cesar Chavez
Is the Cesar Chavez Task Force going to go through as many popular, busy, well established roads and street until they find one that won't have so much controversy?
This is getting really old.

NTTA likely to raise tolls by September 2009
Maybe this is why there is an increase in wrong way drivers down the toll road; to beat the toll sensors. No?

Checking out Nick & Sam's Grill in Dallas: What's the big deal?
I went over to N&S Grill for dinner with my girlfriend a couple of weeks ago after attending some event over at the Michael-Goss gallery. I ordered the grown-up grilled cheese dish and I do not remember the pears in the sandwich. It was okay. Frankly, the menu is a bit too gimmicky for my taste. Captain Crunch coated French toasts. Ummm, no.
