I had to reduce my original overall score to a 3 because they won't accept call-in take out orders, you have to order in person and wait.

Besides great fried and grilled seafood, this place gets my vote for best Mexican cocktail outside of Mexico!

Fantastic wine list compliments the souffles and French countryside decor. They have service from lunch thru dinner so you can enjoy a late lunch and linger over dessert souffles and have another bottle of wine. This great Inwood Village location is alittle posh but European casual so maturity is okay and so is eye candy.

This is where you go to hide out from your friends (maybe illicit maybe not) and have an old school burger in the Bachman Lake area.

I ate here with a professional Japanese sushi chef who agreed with me that this is the freshest fish and best preparation in Dallas. Traditional Japanese style sushi and sashimi with a polite and efficient staff make it worth every dollar. The location isn't the easiest to find, just OFF McKinney Avenue, and they need to control those towing trucks.

I love me some hot pie and Fireside does it right for me. The original location has the best vibe but this location is a bit sterile from its former incarnations. They need some FIRE to go with the great food served up by a well trained staff. It would please me if they would nix the valets for their fabulous parking lot which is a few feet from the front door. I don't need a valet for pizza even though Fireside almost makes it fine dining.

If someone had not taken it "personal" there would still be no sushi restaurant in Oak Cliff. And maybe reviewers should stick to the review of the restaurant and not their "relationship"s

Service is key to the success of any restaurant and if the owner doesn't care enough to fire lazy, slutty, stupid, or bad servers, then it won't succeed. Why bother paying a hostess that doesn't do her job but smokes cigarettes out back with the head chef or sits at the sushi bar with her back to the front door picking up customers? Oh that's right, she wants to be the manager! LOL
When there are superb sushi restaurants like Yutaka that provide good service along with good sushi for a good price, why bother with a restaurant when reviewer after reviewer comments on the bad service.

The Magnetic Fields Quartet led by songwriter Stephen Merritt is resolutely "indie" so how come their music has been used in a Volvo commercial and appeared in the film Lemony Snicket? More info

Being the anchor of Bishop Arts for so long shouldn't be a reason for being snobby but unless the manager likes you, go somewhere else. She'll just talk bad about you like she did her Oak Cliff neighbor until she found out the woman was a writer for the local newspaper. Hattie's doesn't believe in advertising but when your reputation gets tarnished, you need to start. And update that wine list!
