Metalhead's Secret Pleasure
The heart of rock'n'roll's still beatin', but I'm pretty sure it's not beatin' behind a pastel sports jacket.

How Do I Get My Music Played on National TV?
So what's an appropriate amount of time for this to go on before I make a "taint" joke. Because the margaritas and the dwarves aren't helping hold back.

I dunno about national, but looks like the best way to get on local tv is to say you have a way to get on national, then take your client with you to the interview. (that totally made sense in my head.)
There's always robbing a bank or being involved in a car chase. Maybe paint the band's logo on top of your white bronco before taking off?

With all of this nodding back & forth, people are gonna start thinking we're dancing.

The Fry Street - *More New Updates*
Funny you should say that. We have 3 whole shows going on this summer, & the 23rd is one of 'em. Might as well go ahead & plan on being in denton that night. 'cause I'm gonna kidnap you & bring you up.

Now if I can only find a free printing press, I'm all up on that.

Just for the record, that letter sent to United was from Brook Ray, co-owner of Wine2 (wine squared) in Denton & also the frontwoman for Phalanx

Bloggin' Live from the Dallas Observer Awards
You know, every time you put "More to Come" on a post it usually ends up in drunkenness. I think it's time you just move to denton.

Worst Band Metaphor of the Day
I've heard the fist-full of emotion's supposed to balance it out, but you're supposed to take it with a full glass of water.

Call me a jerk but...
For $50,000 I could build my own studio, record an album, press a buttload of copies, buy a tour bus - and still pay people to like it - and make back just as much of it as the winner of this contest. $0.
Although for honesty's sake maybe I'd have to skimp a little on the bus. Which I'm fine with, I'm not so big on leather seats.

There's a fine line when it comes to things like this, but more often than not it won't do much for you. $35 (at the cheapest) for an "entrance fee", then add another $20 for parking & batteries (hey, some of us use pedals ya know), and another $20 for food (if you go on the cheap), and it just cost your band $75 to play for an uninterested crowd & watch some suburban teenage Fallout Boy clone win by playing some unoriginal crap. Money in the local music biz is ALWAYS gonna favor the venue, but when it comes from the band's pocket, somethings seriously wrong.

Exhibit review: Bodies... The Exhibition in Dallas
