The Londoner
Never going to the Londoner uptown again! We were ordering Sky sodas…and they were the size of my pinky…all ice, really weak. We WENT to the Londoner cuz its laid back…flip flop wearing chill place…um no. Those friggen dixie cup drinks were EIGHT dollars each. Um excuse me? This is not PM lounge and we’re not drinking Belvedere & Grey Goose. Ridiculous. We went to Victor Tangos for dinner and got a HUGE sky soda the size of my head. It was so strong I had to add water and still couldn’t finish it. And it was only $6.

Nick & Sam's Grill, casual offshoot of Nick & Sam's in Dallas, to open in February
I really liked strongs. It makes me sad that Strong’s struggled so badly and had to close (& martini ranch & standard & stolik (sp?) before that). Then you throw up some black paint and a new sign and tadaaaa it’s packed again. I know it’s the typical capricious cyclical nature of dallasites….but it’s kind of pathetic.

Martini Park at Shops at Legacy in Plano is closed down
YES…its sad they’re out of work, YES Frisco peeps need somewhere to go and MP was good for that, YES the cougars need a place to pick up young bucks…so perhaps it will re-open for all of these reasons. BUT UNDER DIFFERENT MANAGEMENT THAT DOESN’T TREAT PEOPLE LIKE CRAP! So YES in this instance they deserved whatever they got.

Me and my sisters got into a dance off with some guy there one time...just for fun, everyone was in a circle..laughing at us, having a great time. They kicked us out and said we were making a scene. I guess we were supposed to just sit quietly with our 'make shift' bottle service. Good riddance!

Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharoahs opens Friday at the Dallas Museum of Art
Last night was nightmare. Downtown was in gridlock because of glass falling from the windows of a high rise, so when we FINALLY made it to the valet after following all the signs that say "Tut valet this way" we were told they wouldn’t park our car because there was a private event there. OKAY SO MAYBE TAKE DOWN THE 10 TUT VALET SIGNS!!!! We had to go back out into traffic & over Woodall just to do a U turn to get the other parking which was $15 and the attendant was rude when we asked questions. Turns out valet was $30. I am sorry but the museum is supposed to be something fun, educational and relatively inexpensive for the family to do. How can you justify $70 on tickets, $15-30 in parking? It’s UTTERLY ridiculous and NOTHING but a deterrent to get folks to take advantage of the arts.

Pulcinella Ristorante on Henderson Avenue in Dallas closed down
Not sure why my comment was removed. There weren't any cuss words in it. Everyone seems to rave about Campania and I was merely stating that I had a bad experience there to let the public know. So much for opinions I guess. Fine, everyone go to Campania all you want. "Its just FAB!"

Best Bites: Dining out in Dallas-Fort Worth March 17
Ate at Campania for the 1st time last night. waitress was too busy making out with her boyfriend to open our wine, we had to go to the counter to order...twice because she wouldn’t ever come to our table, she forgot to put the order in, we had to ask for its whereabouts twice, then we had to scarf it down so we could get to the theatre and we got no apology! not going back!

Nove, Italian restaurant in Victory Park, closed on Saturday
Agree...Valet was $10 plus tip unless you wanted to walk a half mile and the couple of times I went, our waitress was a huge snooty "B!" High end Italian DOES work in Dallas, if you do it right. Bugatti, Arcodoro, etc.
