Restaurant review: Delaney's Irish Pub in McKinney
Having visited Delany's on a few occassions I can say that I found the atmosphere - welcoming, decor - as traditional as an Irish-American pub can get and the food - more than edible. Having knwon the owner and operator for many years I can say without doubt that he runs a very tight ship. The food in this and his previous establishment that I visited more than twice a week is always freshly cooked and prepared. Having had probably 1000 meals from his kitchens over the years I can honestly say I have never gotten ill or been dissappointed with any of them.
People that expect to go to an Irish Pub (or any Pub) and not hear foul langauge are borderline insane. Visit any Pub in Ireland, England Sotland or Wales for that matter and you'll hear language you thought never even existed. If you want a family meal then go to Chucky Cheese, if you want a somewhat authentic pub atmosphere then go to Delany's. Besides be honest with yourself, you think you kids don't hear that language on a daily basis in the School Yard....? Come on - get real parents
