Shoooooooot! I did not mean to start a ruckus here. DC is one of my absolute favorite reviewers and commenters here.

So let me offer a sincere and public apology. If necessary I will grovel a bit and if possible will buy DC a sake at Tei An to smooth things over.

I did send DC a note "behind the scenes," using the Pegasus provided service. That note is posted below ... I think the only thing missing is my name and a brief snippet from my original post. The note's intent, despite my klutzy writing, was to kindly, quietly and respectfully clear up any misconception and to apologize for anything I said that offended.

Anyway, now i will just say it more simply: DC, I am sorry.

We enjoyed Tei An a couple weeks back in the middle of the week. Fell in love with the curry Soba soup. Had been obsessively craving it so dragged friends there last night. DC, your post worked wonders since the place was nicely populated (on a Tuesday). Didn't really need the reservation I made, but one does give you a bit more attention on top of already fabulous service. The tempura was better than most places here and in Tokyo. Soba was great. One notable highlight was the barley tea that gratiously came at the end of the meal unordered.
