Redefining the Disfranchised: The Political Art of Nina Allender As we continue to celebrate the 88th Anniversary of Women's Right to Vote, there's a prime opportunity to view influential art from the era. Nina Evans Allender drew political cartoons for The Suffragist from 1914 into the 1920s, transforming stereotypical views of who a suffragist was. Over the years, Allender contributed more than 250 political cartoons to the movement, a number of which are on display at the Women's Museum at Fair Park. More info

Food: 4/5 Vibe: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Value: 4/5 Overall: 4/5
I have had dinner at Kavala once, and lunch there twice. I have to say that on the whole, food is very good, and portions are on the large side. I found the spinach salad with scallops and lemon vinegarette to be fabulous. The chicken souflaki was very good, and the mussels I had there once were really delicious. I think that the worst problem I encountered was a wait staff person who was less that attentive or helpful. We had this staffer two times, and the slow service did not differ either time. Love the food and the place, though!!
