UPDATED: Online petition begs ABC to resurrect GCB
We loved this show! It was camp, funny, quick-witted and with characters to whom we could relate. It has been a long time! Sex in the City, Friends, Desperate Housewives and a lot of today's ensemble shows don't resonate with a lot of us. And, whomever said the acting was bad really does not know acting. By far, the comedic timing and facial expressions of Miriam Shor was on point, along Annie Potts sarcastic, witty charm. If this show had come on during the early 90s, before Reality TV put the nail in the coffin for network, well scripted TV, before entertainment as a whole was dumbed-down, the show's camp would've been better received, with scripts becoming more intricate. And, as a Chrisitian, I wasn't pleased with the initial choice of show title, but having watched the show, do not agree with those who labelled the show sacrilege. In fact, on some sites, people have admitted it made them want to read the bible.
Hmmm...maybe that is the REAL reason the show got cancelled!
