The anti-Fed crowd can protest to their hearts' content, but so what if the so-called mainstream media doesn't cover it. Pegasus News covered it. That's more than an attention-seeking radio talk show host deserves.

The League of Women Voters' forums accept questions from the audience, which are screened by a moderator to ensure a breadth of issues are discussed. Because Goolsby refused to participate, we don't know exactly which questions would have been asked.

Goolsby doesn't want voters to compare him with Carol Kent side by side. He ducked an invitation to a forum hosted by the League of Women Voters.

Chen Button's support for school vouchers is not so stealthy. In the recent League of Women Voters forum, she explicitly said she was in favor. She also said the state had no money for teachers or public schools, or for children's health insurance (CHIP). But she apparently thinks there's money for religious and private school vouchers. She also came out in favor of jailing illegal immigrants, so she probably thinks there's money to build more jails, too.

There has not been a satisfactory explanation given why the council chose not to give another term to Mayor Slagel. Nathan Morgan suggests there was a "public outcry for leadership change" but Slagel's unopposed re-election to his council seat suggests something else was at work. Residents of Richardson deserve at least a public discussion on the subject from the council members who do the choosing.

KERA 13 aired a Nova episode tonight dramatizing Prof. Miller's testimony in the Dover case. The show is naturally one-sided in favor of science, but it includes some shocking dishonesty on the part of creationists. You can watch the show anytime on PBS's Web site at http://PBS.org. Two big (panda) thumbs-up!

Speaking of rushing out to retrieve the Saturday morning newspaper to get football scores, is there a Web site that attempts to provide real time scores of high school football games around the Dallas area on Friday nights? Preferably in a format that's friendly to a mobile Web browser.

The Arapaho Rd lot filled up, too, until they extended the line to Parker Rd. Now there's plenty of parking at Arapaho station. The effort should go into extending DART even farther north, not adding more parking to the current northern terminals.

GWAR / Kingdom of Sorrow / Toxic Holocaust Only lead singer Oderus Urungus (aka Dave Brockie) has stuck around since GWAR's start 23 years ago, but the huge costumes, raunchy and obscene lyrics, and fluids spraying into the audience are sure to be on full display as the metal band makes its return to Dallas.
