Those who join and post that kind of review on the same day suggest ulterior motives.

Sevy's in Dallas' Preston Center now doing Saturday brunch
If sevy was on OpenTable I'd go more often. Sometimes I forget it's there, even though I love it.

UPDATED: Voila Bakery in Allen, home of the best croissants in town, closed
I don't think it was only the landlord on this one. Just be patient...

Third branch of Twisted Root Burger Company opens in Roanoke
This makes it sound like someone got a kickback.
The restaurants received incentives from the Roanoke Economic Development Corporation to open there.

New barbecue place, Luckie's Smokehouse, opens on west side of Oak Cliff in Dallas
Ate there yesterday. They have regular bbq sauce, viz. Texas, as well as Chipotle and Memphis-Style. The creamed spinach was delicious, as was that Green Chile Corn Pudding.
Best pork ribs I've had in recent memory (at least a few years).

Is he talking about the crepe place or Michael Jackson? (too soon, TG?)

It wasn't that long ago that the restaurant underwent a major renovation to become Cliff Cafe.

Chef Point Cafe in Watauga basks in sweet aftermath of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives appearance
Maybe now the bank will give them some $$ for more parking.

Which Wich founder Jeff Sinelli opens Burguesa Burger, Mexican burger place, in Dallas
Of all the words in my lexicon, "Zesty" isn't the word I would have chosed.

Interesting new Restaurant Ava with lots of foodie signifiers to open in Rockwall on Tuesday
I'm excited that this restaurant exists. I'm praying it does well.
I'm just a bit nervous that County Line couldn't thrive on the lake out there...
I'll absolutely check this place out, though. Can't wait.

Cowboy Chow in Dallas' Deep Ellum offers attention-getting promotion with marked-down entrees
The menu online has the $7.00 items under "Recession Menu" - sounds like the bailout menu to me, 'cept the one posted on SideDish had more items.
Web designers are always the last to know, right?

No, you're thinking of someone else.

Chef at Cowboy Chow in Dallas' Deep Ellum district in hospital after getting hit on his Vespa
Jason is doing better, though tomorrow marks 5 weeks in the hospital. He's certainly ready to get out and get cooking again!
Thanks to all who have visited the restaurants to drop a note and/or posted their good wishes here.

Chef at Cowboy Chow in Dallas' Deep Ellum district in hospital after getting hit on his Vespa
The accident was not a hit and run, so we know who the driver was. DPD made an accident report, etc.
As the accident occurred in downtown Dallas, and the Southlake keyings have been going on for a while (according to the linked article), we should not presume they are related.

I had lunch at CC today and they have some paper set aside at the bar where you can leave Jason a note.
I wish Travis had been standing between Jason and the hummer.

Grill 400, in ill-fated location in Dallas' Bishop Arts district, closed
Burning down (1) and mediocre food underscored by poor service (2) shouldn't be the basis for suggesting the presence of a curse. If the second closing was due to fire, plague, pestilence or some other natural (or supernatural) occurrence, I'd vote for a curse.
(see Bice for an example of a real cursed location) http://www.pegasusnews.com/news/2008/...
But Grill 400 took a spot that could be great and just didn't make it work. No curse there.

I was there Friday for lunch, and it looks like the menu just got some new additions, like sliders and a Cowgirl (veggie) taco.

Dallas' Restaurant Week: Beneficial or beastly?
I'm with DC.
Even with the 2-hour limit, Abacus will do almost 4 full seatings - that is a helluva lot of work when the check avg is cut in half.
I'm surprised TG didn't mention Central Market's annual free 4th Course certificates. Those are always nice to have handy.

I think I see the disconnect Andrew-- We're not trying to be the DMN or NYT. We're trying to do what we can do really well and not fill the
