On Hardis

don't knock it 'til you have tried it. these gals know their coffee. they also truely care about supporting the independent and local - adding to the neighborhood-ly charm of the place.

I go there a lot- and suspect that i will keep on going... especially for those vegan cinnamon rolls. dang, those are good.

On Best Bites: Dining out in Dallas-Fort Worth June 27

im looking forward to the show. Sergio is an amazing artist.

On Local Artist Spotlight: Sergio Garcia

as a resident living on the katy trail a couple of blocks from the incident (i hear helicopters patrolling as i type this), I have to say that I can see the Katy Trail connection. It is completely unlit- and thus a great spot for crime at night. The apartment building in question backs up to the trail, and the suspects had walked off the trail for the robbery.
There are lots of stories I hear (perhaps some false) of unsavory-types-of-things happening on the trail at night. Perhaps it's time we go ahead and light it?

On Man shot and robbed in Highland Park

This should be a really great show to check out- but be sure and also make the rounds to all of the other area galleries hosting openinings in the area as part of the D.E.E.P. gallery walk in Deep Ellum and as part of the Dallas Art Dealers Association art walk.

On Second Annual Erotic Art Show Juried Exhibition

wow. i hope at the very least another venue steps up to fill the void this will leave in the dallas music scene. i have seen so many unbelievable shows there- shows that would not have been hosted in any other local venue.

On It looks like the end for the Gypsy Tea Room
