    As posted by the president of Dallas United Rowing on a Dallas Morning News article:

    "The contract no longer contains a provision to serve alcohol. That clause is in many city contracts for public facilities, including Dallas public libraries. When our neighbors at the lake expressed concern about that clause, we asked the city to remove it."

    Goodfriend makes good on its name, emerges as neighborhood favorite

    I've been going to Goodfriend since they opened a year ago. I'm still amazed at how good the food and drinks are, how comfortable the place is, and how well run everything is.

    The symbiotic relationship between Good To Go and Goodfriend is great to see. I love GTG's fare for breakfast or lunch - it's great, and I can eat outside on their patio or Goodfriend's. And then to be able to have burgers and a beer or two for dinner with my wife at Goodfriend's,. all within walking distance of our home, makes it just about the perfect place to go.

    Preview of the menu at Goodfriend Beer Garden and Burger House, opening Monday

    Went Monday evening with my wife, we had "fungus among us" burgers and three different beers. FANTASTIC food, beers were great too. Even though the place was packed the service was solid and friendly. Food came faster than I thought it would, couldn't ask for better. Matt and Josh (and their staff) clearly know what they're doing.
