Best bars in Dallas to watch the Texas/OU game
If you head to Fair Park looking for Lee Harvey's your going to be disappointed . It's in a completely different part of part of town. Not sure why it's listed as Fair Park, but it looks like the place to be.

Could anyone provide an update on Club Dada? It has been a while since the doors have been open.

The new Dallas Morning News eEdition is pretty cool. It's available to subscribers and on a trial basis to others.
I've got to agree with Mark on this one, it is pretty cool. I'm not sure it is going anywhere though. Who pays for online news content these days?

Deep Ellum Arts Festival 2007: Chilly? Yes. Chili? Oh yes
Despite the weather the overall turnout and enthusiasm was pretty good. Much less alcohol consumption (needed to start selling Irish coffee or mulled wine) and the focus was more on the art booths than the bands, perhaps because this allowed you to keep moving.

Updated and developing: Deep Ellum Association says they were locked out by Foundation
I've been a resident of Deep Ellum for 4 years and have witnessed first hand its recent decline. During this time the Deep Ellum Association has been the only voice for residents of the community. I have no particular allegiance to members of the Deep Ellum Association board. That said, I know that if I have a concern or idea on how to improve the community I can attend an Association meeting and be taken seriously. It is absolutely preposterous that the opinions and concerns of Deep Ellum residents would be shut out.

The Bone gets buried? (No it doesn't)
I'm not sure where this story came from. I just got back from the Bone. It's open with a live band and appreciative crowd.

Double-Wide DOA
This was a really great place to kick back and listen to local music. No warning, no explanation...

I disagree eanpegasus. Canton turns into Columbia/Abrams, so the traffic flow is steadier. I've rode down Elm Street on Thursday evenings
