"Polyamorists mostly feel that a monogamous male/female family structure isn’t enough for a healthy relationship." This is bad information. Polyamorists may believe this for them as individuals, but I have never, in 16 years as a community organizer, heard more than a handful of people (jerks) claim that two is not enough for a healthy relationship. Monogamy is entirely legitimate as a choice. Polyamory is simply another legitimate choice in relationship structure.
"...polyamorists try to distance themselves from the "swinger" community." A few do, but the vast majority of polyamorists consider swinging to be a valid form of sexual expression for those who chose it.
