Well now I've no reason whatsoever to watch it.
Ok, yesterday I didn't either, but I like to have milestones.

12 highly anticipated hip-hop albums that may (or may not) be worth your dollar
Same as the 30 cent savings on a plastic stepladder 500,000 times a day destroyed American Industry in favor of Chinese Imports.
"Lots and cheap" always wins and when a 4 measure loop of predictably syncopated triplets can keep an entire industry busy for a decade, then you just can't fight it. Easily manufactured and derivative products have become the norm everywhere. Rubbermaid and Autotune, masters of the new millennium.

I'm still trying to imagine what would make a hip hop album worth my money.

Plano embroiled in protests against 150 proposed liquor stores
razorphreak...
Man, they can't even FIND "Save Plano"
http://www.wfaa.com/news/local/Chasin...I'm kinda split on it, really. I don't like the neighborhoods around liquor stores, but I don't drink. Follow that with the problem that this is supposedly more a package store ordinance.
The horribly thing is how friggin' many people outside Plano are hammering on this election. It's insane!
The state Democrats have made Plano a pet project. If they can turn Plano blue then the assume Collin County will follow. That has brought the worst kind of carpetbaggers to town. They really have an interest in fomenting trouble and you know they'll be gone in 8 weeks after all the ill will is ripe. Not entertaining at all.
Sadly, the Republicans have countered with nothing but negativity. Joy.

The problem with digital downloads is that you can't use them to prop up a wobbly table or wedge open a badly installed door latch.

Brazilian Cowboy
Hmmm... First of all, I apologize for being wayward on this... We all know how I love hunting straw.
That said, I ate there yesterday and it's doing well. I do notice they are getting more aggressive in their online presence and marketing. Hopefully it's not some new "social media consultant" screwing up a reasonably good thing.

Bill could allow liquor stores to sell on Sundays in Texas
I am constantly amazed that people move somewhere for what is novel and immediately work to make it what they left.

It's only "Bullying" if you disagree with it.
Otherwise it's "Activism"
Personally, I washed out of Webelos, so I feel unqualified to opine.

Oh, don't stop there.
You're halfway to calling her Hitler.
Don't be shy. It's not like we can lose that much more respect for you after that last comment.

UPDATED: Bill Nye The Science Guy visited the Perot Museum Wednesday
Things were in pretty good shape today. I only counted two missing microscopes (in a touchy-feely-kids-will-mangle-the hell-out-of-them spots). I got an early look so some of the exhibits were new to me and looked pretty darned good.
There is only one pair of exhibits that I can not see every being satisfactory: The Robots and Mech display.
There are parts enough to make exactly four radio controlled wheeled machines. There are two of each kind of actuator/motors/wheel assemblies and two channels of controllers. So if the place is completely empty, ideally, two kids could choose from two kinds of grabbers/scoops for moving stuff, two kinds of wheel/motor configurations and then work to play tic-tac-toe or just fight to push each other around.
As it is, the line is usually around the exhibit and kids just take turns playing with one of two prebuilt remote control tractors.(Prebuilt, because the parts never come back to the assembly/design table. They just pass fully built from one kid to the next) It really would require a full-time moderator running it to work as designed.
That said - it's the only real glitch I've seen in the place.

I think we need two spaceships on either end of the metroplex.
We run two ads, one stating that all gun control fans and supporters of confiscation of all weapons will meet at spaceship #1. Then a second ad runs that states everybody wanting to secure their guns forever will meet at spaceship #2.
Launch both at 9:00 a.m. heading for a Exoplanet and the rest of us can celebrate with a nice brunch.

89-year-old Rep. Ralph M. Hall reaches historic milestone
I have repeatedly heard as an excuse against term limits the assertion that then Washington would be run solely by bureaucrats as the real politicians would not be there long enough to learn the ropes and then would have to rely on the bureaucrats indefinitely.
I only bring this up in the hopes that when I tell you it's a prominent local Democrat and get you lathered up about it, you'd tromp over and thump his ear for me ;o)

Ndalman... don't you get it, people the ilk of sports stars, celebrities, politicians, high dollar bankers, rap stars.... are not subject to "memory" like you and me, the plebes of society.
They make money.
They make appearances.
They make more money.
Then make a big mistake. Some dogs die, maybe people, a $500K sportscar
Make a press appearance at a rehab resort.....
Wash, rinse, repeat.
