Who is this Mike Orren and why isn't he running for public office!!? What a diplomat! And, a stand-up guy to boot.
I admit I was poking fun about The Feds winning, and I was feeling a little at fault for instigating someone into such a rally of voes for Lazer. I was ready to take my responsibility and loss for what it was. In light of new information I say nothing. I hope whatever band and song wins is the one that rightfully should. I love The Feds and that's that. I like several of the other songs, but The Feds got my two votes per day, once at home and once at work.
Good luck to everyone and I hope that the band that does win is able to further this into something even bigger! What hype this has fostered!! How 'effing cool for anyone involved, be it a band or Texas Gigs!?
Finally, I have a new and definitive site for what's what and who's who in local music. Thanks Texas Gigs! I'll be seeing you.

Wow that Lazer song is hilarious!! The only one I had not listened to as it had 'techno' in the genre label! The only other one(s) that would not have gotten played would had said 'country' or 'aromine's personal pick'!!
Man it sucks! Russ Martin sampled the new Feds cd on his show today! And Russ and Cuban hang out together occasionally...damn! I hope that doesn't impact Cuban's decision. He could mess up and pick a winner!!! HA!!

You guys are funny! Ask yourself if any of this will matter in ten years!!? Nahhh!!
Has anyone ever heard a song for a team before and thought, 'who in the hell picked that stinker!?' I wonder if any of those songs went through a process similar to this?
Lastly, to your point, pumping up the fans for the Mavs at the playoff games...I'm pretty sure there will not be many of them that notice the song, good, bad, or indifferent.
If The Feds win, I'm offering FREE DRINKS!!! At my house!!! Out of the water hose!!! Front yard or back, your choice!!!!
Later people. Don't sweat this stuff. It's just fun!

And THAT is why I LOVE THE FEDS!!! I have seen them in the crowd at their shows, watching the opening bands with so much spirit and fun loving sense! And they talk to everybody they meet, young or old, cool or not! At a Feds show, we're all cool! And they prove it! And we love them for that.
For the record, I think the PPT song KICKS ASS!! A little too much like Outkast, but for me that is a good thing. I'm digging a lot of the songs here. But, I will say this, barring The Feds farting into the mic while shouting, "GO MAVS!", they would have gotten my vote anyway! Loyalty like theirs to us fans should be repaid in kind. As often as we can.
Remember, it's MY TEXAS!! DON'T F*#K WITH IT!!
