Starbucks stores introducing tiny "splash stick" to plug hole in to-go containers

White Rock Coffee on NW Highway at Ferndale (or close enough) has been doing this for some time. Good thing Starbucks finally caught up.

Just one more reason to keep supporting a locally owned business rather than a mega-chain.

    Crazy talk about local news

You talk regularly about how the people working for you have been working for free (until recently). It may not have cost you anywhere near $2 million to assemble your data in your current state. But would it have cost anywhere near $2 million if your employees had been paid while working on that project? Serious question - I have no idea. Just trying to do an apples-to-apples comparison.

    A sip of champagne

Congratulations! And you're right - you have to celebrate the milestones along the way. But the downside is that the final celebration party now has to be even bigger.

Here's a virtual toast to y'all and all your hard work. Keep it up!

    Which Willie?

Since we're not all new media moguls like yourself (tongue-in-cheek), maybe some of us gotta work on the 3rd.

    What’s the buzz all about?

Glad to see the new blog! I live in the area (about 1 mile away) and I'm in there all the time. I also talk it up to everyone I know. Great coffee and great atmosphere. Here's wishing you much success.

    Too much eclecticism

I must agree somewhat with Gary's comments. Way back I used to avoid all award shows other than the Grammys since they had all become platforms to advance a political agenda rather than a place to graciously accept an award from your peers. Then the Grammys also became a political platform for musicians to tell the rest of us how we should live, and it got scratched from the list as well. I watched the Tivo'd (Tivoed???) episode of 24 from this week instead.
