Book Signing: Sarah Palin (Sold Out)
That bookstore is close to work. I think I'll stop by just to hog a parking space on Dec 4th.

Did Eli Manning really graffiti new Dallas Cowboys Stadium?
If it's true, then Eli Manning is my new hero! A little graffiti is nothing compared to the damage on the scoreboard.

Arctic Monkeys
Pretty good but not great show by the Actic Monkeys. Most of the music was enveloped in a wall of guitar roar. We got there at 9:30 and the band had already started. I wasn't expecting that. They played until about 10:45. The best thing about this show is that they played almost all of the current album which made me like the new album better. I did get home on a work night at a decent hour but I wasn't expecting an early start.

Arctic Monkeys
This is the last show in their US tour. I'll be there tonight to report back how much energy that they put into the show.

15-seat daycare van carrying 24 kids in wreck with SUV in Grapevine
24 kids in a 15 passenger vehicle? That doesn't sound safe to begin with.

Catch Grapevine pastor Ed Young debate about adultery on ABC News Nightline tonight at 10:30 p.m. We've got a full report from the taping:
So is pastor Young for or against adultery?

Don't take your shiny new iPod Nano to Life Time Fitness -- The chain has banned them, fearing illicit lockerroom video
Sheesh! Like, I would take video of another guy.

Dallas frozen yogurt meltdown: SpoonFull in Plano
It's been there for several months. It's my favorite froyo spot.

Grand Prairie AirHogs Youth Baseball Night
Went to see the Airhogs play last night. It's definitley the best bargain for pro baseball in the area (compared to Rangers or Roughriders). I walked up on the day of game and got a seat right behind home plate for $9. The stadium was only half full.

UPDATED: Dallas restaurant veterans Phil & Janet Cobb opening barbecue place with ex-critic Dotty Griffith
We get a choice of Texas BBQ abd Korean BBQ in the same shopping center. Hmmm, do I feel like brisket or bulgogi today?

Homeowner in Fort Worth shoots and kills man in his backyard
So let me get this straight, I can accidentally walk onto anyone's residential property and be killed for it and it's perfectly legal? Sounds like it grants a murder license to paranoid A-holes with guns.

Amado's Mexican Cuisine
Hard to tell from this map exactly where it is. The NE quadrant of 75 & 15th is dominated by a horrid On The Border. I hope this place runs OTB out of business. I've eaten at the location in Murphy and it was pretty good.

Richardson Indian restaurant Kebab N Kurry to open second bigger branch in Addison
Kebab N Kurry is one of the first Indian food places that I tried. I've always enjoyed it, but some of my Indian friends say it's just okay. Glad to hear one is opening up in Addison close to my work.

Euless discussing ban on touching, tipping at strip clubs
There are strip clubs in Euless? I thought the clubs on 157 were technically in For Worth.

Second branch of Twisted Root now open in Richardson
Quit arguing and have a burger. There are a multitude of great burger joints in the Dallas area and Twisted Root is just another one of them.

I will always have great memories about Matt. I will have an extra reverance when I eat at his restaurant again.

Effects of DART light rail on Plano
ABSOLUTELY, don't get out of DART unless you have a viable transit plan to replace it ready to implement.

Effects of DART light rail on Plano
DART rocks! If paying higher taxes gets a usable mass transportation system, I'm all for it.

Southfork Ranch to host Texas Music Revolution
I've been to this event several times. The music is generally very good, but Southfork Ranch is such a beating. To spend all day cooped up in a oversized barn with meager rations and over-priced beer sucks. No Hayes Carll this year.

Whole Foods Market on Greenville Avenue in Dallas will close on Sunday
If WF has it's way, the old location will be anything but a grocery store.

Fred Eaglesmith
Been listening to FE for a few years now and this is the first time I saw him live. Never heard of the term 'Fred Heads', but that's what his fan club calls themselves. LWT was full but not packed. There were a few that couldn't get tables. The show was pretty good, he had a great backing band. Some of the songs that were crowd pleasers he must be tired of playing because he rushed through them . Didn't play 'Trains' at all. Did play good versions of "I'm crazier than you","Alchohol and Pill", & "Spooking the Horses". He stayed after the show and signed any CDs people bought. I left happy.

Cuellar cousins open Jessie's Cafe Texas in Mesquite
