You would be surprised how many new leaders in various capacity IMMEDIATELY revoke LGBT benefits/rights and fire LGBT staff. I think the feeling is that by not shunning and punishing us, Mayor Leppert is showing us his friendly side... therefore gay-friendly. Plenty of politicians have snagged gay dollars while marginalizing gay people.

I don't even know what to say about chrisdanger's comment... "Breeders" is a term used by some as an attempt at demeaning heteros and used by others as an affectionate nickname. Like it or not we are all labeled, it just so happens that some of you are labeled the same as the majority so you don't even realize the labeling has ocurred. I think your lame attempt at humor could be miscontrued. Perhaps next time you should just ask a question of a group you don't belong to if you are curious. If you want to make a jab just make a jab.
