Yep, this fish is rotting from the head. Unfortunately, the rotten head isn't the GM. Maybe someone needs to start peddling 'Sell the Stars' T-shirts before the game...

Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
The Stars franchise will look and feel no differently than the Rangers franchise as long as an owner that doesn't care about winning is at the helm. It may be a 'valuable franchise', but as a fan...I'm not all that interested in Hicks ability to sell the franchise and make money. I want the owners of the teams for which I am a fan to be upset when their team does not win. I want them to care. Hicks clearly does not pay attention to the scores, he's focused on the bottom line. If we, as fans, are lucky than one of two things will happen. Hicks will sell or he will come to realize that the easiest way to 'keep butts in seats' is to win. It will be like the Mavs before Cuban came along where they made thier money off people coming to see Jordan play a few times a year.

Red light violations have also dropped in Richardson, Frisco, and Garland, says CBS 11.
Dallas says that red light camera fines will be $6.5 million lower than expected.
So...is this a success in the eyes of CBS 11 and a failure in the eyes of Dallas? Something feels a bit backwards about both of those viewpoints.
Regardless, it's not a good week to be a red light camera salesperson...

Losing a Donut Palace is kind of like losing a Dairy Queen or gaining a Wal-Mart. It's sad, but it's just the logical progression of the invisible hand that guides us in spite of all of our kicking and screaming. I guess one could move to Brownsboro or something and look forward to the day a Donut Palace opens...or would that be keeping the cycle alive?
