have you left every time you have heard words that make you uneasy? Im not defending his actions, but until you walk a mile in his life, then you should at least understand the message he delivered as one that is viable and is real. His clever speech was different than everything that has been spoon fed to us in the past 8 years. Do you remember Katrina?

his speech was music to my ears. for too long we as americans have ignored this topic in hopes the issue will quietly go away.both sides have issues that he brought to light like no other person has spoke of so powerfully in my lifetime. I have a new renewed spirit about our country.

I hate to sound cynical, but there have been several murders in Dallas lately, the mother in Oak Cliff, and the police did not get the helicopter out to search for her killers. They swarmed over south Dallas(Cedars) for almost 30 min. in the am. Good to know that HP crime is taken so seriously.

odd to say the least. Didn't have the chance to go to the park on sunday. However I have gone to park several times when it was a mud pit. My dogs loved it the best when they could run in the mud.

I agree it is sad to see all of the for lease signs, like an old ghost town. Hopefully with Baylor there and the new apartments, it will attract a younger/more eclectic crowd. I guess it just really irks me to see the for lease signs and then have to pay to park. DE needs help and the meters probably turn off more people than just me.

I understand that about the limited free parking, but wouldn't the city earn more from opened tax paying businesses than from meters that are empty? Just a thought when I believed the city wanted to encorage people to go out after 6 pm.

I can't help to think that the city has caused more harm than revenue when they installed endless amounts of parking meters, even on the weekends. why would a person go and pay to park on the street or even the little lots when so many other areas of Dallas don't charge. Have you ever heard of having to pay a meter to eat a 3 dollar sandwich from Subway?? What are people's thoughts about the new rail line? Are the landlords just waiting to 'hit gold' when the new train arrives???

bobdonooo, not sure what community you live/work/associate with, however is it possible for you to understand that the govt. that might benefit you has not always addressed the issues of a community. For me I am speaking about residents south of 30 or on the 'other' side of the Trinity. Perhaps you should venture from your glasshouse and venture out into reality. I have to agree and sympathize with people who have worked their entire lives and yet fell marginalized by the government and the rest of Americans.
