I think more people showed up than they expected, the corner of Houston & Pacific was packed, a lot of people couldn't get to a spot where they could see anything.

Sounds like maybe worth a shot although the brisket isn't too impressive looking. Not really Texas style and mesquite and salmon sounds like a little bit of a strange pairing but maybe it works.

I just don't get how you give the key of the city to the E-gals QB regardless of how many dogs anybody killed or kids he saved from a burning fire. Philthadelphia would never give a Cowboys QB the key to the city even if he saved the entire city from AIDS.

I thought the Doritos commercials were horrible. The only commercial I liked was the Eminem/Detroit commercial. Also the iPad or whatever commercial sucked...Alex Bentley you have some questionable tastes in commercials.

actually I think burnt ends go great with slaw because you're not going to be able to overpower the flavor. But skip the sauces etc. Who puts sauce on BBQ anyway?

Well comparatively speaking, is it really getting all that much hype? Less than Lucia, more than some mediocre taco place. But there's a definite black hole of barbecue (particularly good brisket) here. I don't think there's all that much hype, other than the hype of Oak Cliffers who like to get overly excited about everything going on around them.

The "blow dry bar" is taking off in Dallas.
You don't have to have a license to serve alcohol, only to charge for it specifically, I think anyway.
